I Love May

But I gotta pace myself.

Happy anniversary to my fabulous life partner! We've been married for 15 years. We have a little family getaway planned for the weekend to celebrate, but, it's really not about the big gestures. When I think about how happy I am to have married this man, I think of things like this:

We have this cardinal (hereafter named Margaret) outside who was constantly staring inside the house and tapping on the glass. Every day. We aren't bird experts. We figured she maybe wanted the tomatoes?

So one day I wander in the kitchen and see Kyle outside, tucking the itty bitty tomatoes into the tree. For Margaret to find.

It turns out, Margaret didn't want them and continues to be a weirdo. But, my husband is so nice and I love him so much for trying.

Kiddo Update

The kiddos are doing great. A had two art shows recently.

She's also been invited by her principal to discuss a school recycling program (A had written her a letter about it).

E was bumped up to first chair in both her orchestras. We had one concert this week, with two to come next week. She also maintained her high honor roll status for a third quarter.

Travel Update

Last but not least - here are some travel updates. The trip to China happened... for everyone else. I got feverish in JFK airport. Flu season. What can you do?

But the late summer trip is almost all planned. And it's a fun mix of scenic crap, history, fashion, wine, and even a festival. So I'm looking forward to that.

I just need the power to stay on, lol. That Spanish outage messed up our release announcement at work, as I lost our staging environment for a few days. Good times.
